A lasting Tribute to two
Brighton Drag Icons
In loving memory of
Miss Jason (Jason Sutton)
and
Maisie Trollette (David Raven)
– two legends whose heels will never be filled -
Their sparkle, sass, and kindness lit every room and shaped the soul of our drag scene.
“Just be yourself, darling – it’s more than enough,” Jason once told me.
Maisie, ever cheeky, would grin, “Age is just a number – mine’s unlisted!”
A legacy of laughter, love, and pure showbiz magic.
Jason Sutton aka
Miss Jason
Born 27 February 1968 in Portsmouth, Jason Sutton dazzled as Miss Jason until passing away at age 56 on 22 April 2024 in Rottingdean, East Sussex.
For over 30 years he was a Brighton and London cabaret icon—hosting Brighton Pride Dog Shows, pantomimes, and appearing on Blankety Blank and Come Dine With Me.
His partner Terry Ward and the community remember him best through his words: “Hold on to your dream”, a mantra that now fuels our Drag & DJ package forever.
David Raven aka
Maisie Trollette
Born 15 August 1933 in St Ives, Cornwall, David Raven, aka Maisie Trollette, passed away aged 91 on 12 March 2025 in Brighton.
A trailblazer in British drag for more than five decades, she was a staple of Brighton Pride since 1973 and a regular at The Black Cap and Two Brewers.
Known for her quick wit—“Never be afraid of youth”—Maisie’s legacy is woven into every beat and bow of this Drag & DJ offering, a living tribute to her courage and charm.
